Great Wall of China Comes To The UK

Friday, 21. May 2010

The Great Wall is coming to the UK. The first Chinese manufacturer has signed up a distribution deal to distribute their cars through the Daihatsu network of 90 dealers and some Subaru showrooms when their first cars arrive early next year. For those that thought the Great Wall was just a reference to China, it’s not, they are actually called Great Wall. The models get better, who remembers Datsun’s Cherry or Read more »

Graham Hill, Car Finance Expert, Asks Have Aston Martin Lost The Plot?

Friday, 9. April 2010

My aspirational car is an Aston Martin and I expect to announce in the not too distant future that I have one following the successful launch and growth of my new business. However, that was until I saw their latest venture, the Aston Martin Cygnet which is based apparently on a Toyota iQ. To me it looks like a Fiat 500, can you believe it? Nissan Cube – A Very Strange Car

Saturday, 6. March 2010

What a load of old sh*t! as Catherine Tate playing the part of ‘nan’ would say! It has to be the dopiest car I’ve ever seen. It is actually offensive to look at, nearly as bad as driving past a field with your car full of kids who ask why a horse is trying to get on the back of Read more »

Thursday, 28. January 2010

I’m not sure how useful this information is or what real conclusions can be drawn but I found it interesting so am passing it on. Under the Freedom of  Information Act the BBC obtained data regarding MOT failures and Business Car  analysed the figures to identify which cars had the highest pass rates and which cars had the highest fail rate. The statistics are based on 2004 registered cars that were MOT tested for the Read more »

Are Drivers Really Thinking Green?

Monday, 28. September 2009

We keep hearing a lot about green issues and the need to improve our environment. The warnings are there, each year we see more extreme weather conditions that are blamed upon global warming but what are we actually doing about it in the cars we drive? Have I sold hundreds of hybrid cars? No. Have I seen a strong move from big gas guzzlers to city cars or even just mildly more modest cars? Read more »
