Jaguar On The Up – But For How Long?

Thursday, 22. July 2010

A friend of mine, who runs a chauffeur company, ordered a new Jaguar XJ which should have been delivered weeks ago. He is still waiting for delivery and has received terrible customer service. So I was surprised to see that Jaguar sold 295 in June (mind you there’s a big difference between selling and delivering) outselling the market leading executive Mercedes S Class as well as the BMW 7 Series. Mercedes sold 214 S Class’s and BMW sold 173 of the 7 Series. Jaguar claim that the 600 XJ’s, already on British roads, are owned by drivers that have switched from German cars. I suspect that if the after sales service is anything like the pre delivery service all 600 will be back into German cars as quick as they can. Have you any problems with a Jaguar that you would care to share? By Graham Hill
