Is A Roadster A Convertible?

Friday, 20. November 2009

Now here’s an amazing piece of information, courtesy of What Car. Do you know the difference between a convertible, cabriolet and a roadster? Or are they all the same? Nope, they aren’t the same. Convertible and cabriolet are the same, they are based on a hard top version of the same car and are usually 4 seaters, such as the A3 Cabriolet or the Mini Convertible. However, on the other hand Roadsters are 2 seaters and are purpose built such as a Mazda MX-5 or a Porsche Boxster. OK who mentioned the Audi TT Roadster, any fool can see it bears no resemblance to a TT Coupe, and the back seats are titchy so it’s only really a 2 seater. Look I’m only telling you what What Car said! By Graham Hill
