Graham Hill Car Review – The Updated Peugeot 205 GTi

Thursday, 19. August 2010

The Graham Hill in depth car review this week is of a new Peugeot. Many years ago a certain car outsold its direct competitor, the VW Golf, through its looks and performance whilst making me a lot of money at the same time. The car was the Peugeot 205 GTi. It was a hugely popular car so when it disappeared it was a sad day but it looks like it’s back in the guise of an updated 208 with the old GTi badge attached. The car looks amazing with flares and skirts all over the place and a centre exhaust. It will have 4WD improving it’s road holding and a 1.6 turbocharged engine pushing the car up to 62mph in 6.9 seconds with a top speed of 145mph but with a combined fuel consumption of 50mpg. The car looks superb and if it does anywhere near as well as the old 205GTi Peugeot may just be on to a winner. By Graham Hill
