This week the Graham Hill in depth review is a dribble over the Mercedes SLS AMG Gullwing. It looks amazing! I could probably stop there as that’s probably all you need to know but for those that enjoy my in depth review here goes. It is a retro looking car but without seeming dated and is the current F1 safety car. With the doors open you think it looks as though it could fly if the driver took it up to 150 mph plus! The car has the 6.2 litre hand built 563bhp engine installed which will slingshot you to 62mph in 3.8 seconds with a top speed of 197mph. Fuel consumption doesn’t form part of this review but it has a substantial boot – unusual for a supercar! Priced at £157,700 it’s a tad on the expensive side but it does have a pop up spoiler – so that’s OK then! I wouldn’t have one as I’d probably need a hoist to ease me in and out of the driver’s seat and they don’t service the thing on a fixed price menu – so Mercedes can sod off! But the car’s a beauty!
