Would You Like Some Free Advertising?

Monday, 17. May 2010

Oh dear I’m not sure how this is going to go down with employees but it seems that there has been a bit of an upsurge in the provision of logos for company cars. In the past companies that run vans and trucks would use them as a mobile advertisements for their business but very few, other than estate agents and letting agents, adorn their cars with advertising logos. But just recently employees have been expected to drive cars advertising their company’s wares with even directors having everything from a discreet website address on the rear bumper of their Mercedes or BMW to a complete bodywrap. Clearly if sales staff are trundling up and down motorways all day this could be a great source of free advertising but I’m not sure how a sales manager might feel taking the missus out for a steak and chips down at Gordon Ramsey’s eatery with their car parked outside emblazoned with a picture of a blocked drain advertising the services of Bloggs & son drain cleaners. But if even solicitors now have logos on the side of their cars it’s likely to catch on. On a more serious note if you are to fit logos make sure that they are not going to affect the paintwork and when the logos need to be removed get them taken off professionally with a heat remover, I’ve seen half a door removed by an employee who thought you can just rip them off!
