Work From Home & Save The Environment

Monday, 16. June 2008

A subject dear to my heart is the way that this Government taxes larger cars as a means to reduce the carbon emissions with no consideration given to the mileage that these cars are covering. A 25,000 mile a year repmobile is much worse for the environment than a 10,000 mile a year big 4 wheel drive jobee. But my belief that companies should make greater use of communications technology has been supported by the RAC who back more working from home and less customer visits. They suggest that simply working one day per week from home wherever practical and possible would cut down congestion and emissions. Greater use of telephone and video communications would also cut down on these two areas. As an example of what can be done with video you could check out my web page www.videotrainingonthenet.com
