BMW 118d (E87) Facelift

My review this week isn’t some dopey supercar that no-one can afford and if you spurted away from traffic lights in it on full power would leave your small intestines still waiting at the lights. Nope it is a sensible car, the all new BMW 1 Series. It has been a popular car since its introduction because it enables bakers and other business owners who like Read more »

April saw an increase in the sale of premium cars such as BMW and Audi. Whilst new car sales suffered during the month the premium brands all saw growth. The companies that showed growth included Mercedes, Audi, Lexus, BMW and Saab. Jaguar was the only make to suffer with sales down 60%. BMW even got into the top 10 car sales with its 3 Read more »

Graham Hill Not Inspired By New BMW

Thursday, 26. May 2011

My car review this week is the new BMW 4Series. We will see it in 2012 but I have to say I’m not particularly inspired. I’m a lover of BMW’s but after losing the plot with the X6 they’ve now set their sights on a mini looking version based on the 3 Series. It’s a 5Dr Coupe which I thought might be an exciting proposition but it isn’t a patch on the Mercedes E Read more »

New Car Sales Up Means Fewer Lease Deals

Tuesday, 17. May 2011

If you thought you were going to get a great deal on a Mercedes or a BMW you can pretty much forget it! Sales for both German manufacturers were up by more than 30% at the beginning of the year. Whilst most of this increase was into fleet buyers it has meant that the crazy deals that we saw in 2007/8 have not had to be repeated to increase sales. Read more »

What Extras Add Value To Your Car When You Sell It?

Monday, 16. May 2011

When choosing a new car there are a few things you should take into account when deciding upon the spec. of the car. As What Car ran a feature this month on this subject I thought I’d give my own twist on this hairy subject. Obviously if you are going to own the car it becomes more critical because if you choose badly it can be an expensive mistake albeit Read more »

Graham Hill’s Review Of A Daft Car

Wednesday, 4. May 2011

As you may or may not know Mini is owned by BMW who also own Rolls Royce. Well those clever (or totally daft) people at BMW have decided to create a Rolls Royce of Minis called the Mini Goodwood. The car will be built in the same way that the ÂŁ285,000 Phantom would be built using the same materials! Just what we all need of course, Read more »

Can You Repair Run Flat Tyres?

Years ago when run flat tyres were introduced they seemed like a great idea but drivers were then told that they couldn’t mix up run flats with conventional tyres and you couldn’t get a puncture repaired. Once the tyre had been punctures, whilst the run flat would get you home the bad news was that you then needed to replace the tyre. However, I have found out that this isn’t necessarily the case. It was highlighted recently when a lady driver managed to get a nail in her run flat tyre fitted to a Read more »

BMW Have A Major Shake Up After Poor Showing In Survey

It just goes to show how people differ in views when it comes to surveys. BMW was upset when they fared poorly in the 2010 Driver Power Survey, assessing the dealerships on many levels. BMW dropped from 12th to 17th only to be replaced by Mercedes at the number 12 spot. Now this I really can’t understand as my last car was a BMW and the dealer was superb. The car before and my current cars are both Mercedes and the service I receive from the Mercedes dealership is incredible. And Read more »
