Something You Must Do When Deciding On A Car

Tuesday, 29. September 2009

I have to say that I have a fantastic relationship with my customers, many of whom rely upon my judgement, but one of the dangers I’ve had to face over the years, is when I attempt to get a customer into a great value car but the customer, who bases his decision on cost rather than the whole package, hasn’t had a test drive in the car, only to find that the driving position is awkward or their 6’7” frame struggles to squeeze into the car, so I always strongly recommend a test drive. Invariably we have always solved the problem, even if it has meant a special adjustment to the driver seat but when it comes to cock ups it seems that BSM, the driving school, takes the digestive. They negotiated a supply deal with Fiat to replace the cars that they traditionally had supplied by Vauxhall replacing Corsas with Fiat 500’s. Of course what they didn’t appear to do was check the height of their instructors and learners, many of  whom, I’m told, cannot fit into these Noddy sized cars. Nice one BSM. By Graham Hill
