Save Money On Fuel On Motorways

Tuesday, 9. September 2008

Yet another suggestion as to how you can reduce your fuel costs – don’t fill up at motorway services unless it’s an emergency, then only put in the bare minimum to get you to where you want to be and find a supermarket forecourt. The average price of motorway fuel is 10 pence per litre more than supermarkets which adds about £5.50 to a tank full of fuel according to the RAC. Mind you I have to agree with Ray Holloway of the Petrol Retailers Association on this one who pointed out that this was a statement of the bloody obvious! Well actually I added the bloody but I’m sure he meant to say it! Thanks RAC for pointing this out to all us morons! By Graham Hill
