Graham Hill Reviews The Audi A1

Sunday, 11. July 2010

This week the renowned Graham Hill in depth car review is focused on the new Mini alternative, the Audi A1. The Audi A1 is better. So there you have it, all you need to know when making that vital decision between the cars although I would say that personally I still prefer the shape of the Mini and the fact that it is built in the UK and although engine for engine the Audi is more powerful and economic than the Mini it is more fun to drive. The inside of the A1 is bigger and has lots of equipment compared to the Mini which still has that ridiculous speedo, the size of one of its wheels in the centre of the console. And of course if you judge the quality of Audi’s diesel engines by the number of times it has won the Le Mans 24 hour race with a diesel engine’d car it beats Mini hands down. But don’t ask for one as Audi announced that in the first 4 weeks of the A1’s launch it had taken more orders than any other launch in its history – what recession? Knowing Audi they won’t increase production, just increase the lead time. What do you think of the A1, do you agree with me? By Graham Hill
