Graham Hill, Car Finance Expert, Reveals Puncture Capital Of The UK!

Thursday, 15. April 2010

Kwik Fit have revealed the puncture capital of the UK, yep, it’s true they have actually carried out a survey and found that London is the capital, not only of the country but also for punctures. Amazing or what? In fact drivers in London are twice as likely to get a puncture than drivers in the East Midlands. 4 in 10 drivers in London had a puncture last year compared to 2 in 10 in the East Midlands. Nationally the average is one puncture in three. They estimated the cost of repairs and replacements to be £300 million in 2009 with 40% of punctures repaired at a cost of £15. No one has explained why there should be more punctures in London than the East Midlands, any ideas? I mean these bloody surveys are all the same. They tell us that the most dangerous place in the UK for punctures is London, so now I’m driving through London worried out of my skin that I might get a puncture and not told how I should avoid getting one! That’s rubbish. Have they got razor sharp cats eyes that I should avoid? Should I stop driving at 70mph over the traffic calming humps? Or are there areas where kids in hoodies find it hilarious to hammer 6 inch nails into tyres just for the hell of it. What should I be avoiding Mr Kwik Fit? By Graham Hill
