Graham Hill Awards Daft Gadget Of The Week

Daft gadget of the week award – Tyrepal. That’s probably a little unfair because this new device monitors the tyre pressures and tyre temperatures and therefore could prevent an accident and even save a life. You fit four sensors on your tyre valves to replace the valve caps and a small screen that looks a bit like a sat nav monitors each wheel and warns of any dangers, all done wirelessly. The device, according to the RAC would cut down the number of breakdowns in the UK and with tyre related call outs top of the RAC call out chart would save them (not you) money. The daft part is the cost, it’s £195. My suggestion is get out of the bloody car once a week and check the tyres, as you should do, and save yourself £195. However, if you’re a gadget freak and must have one you can buy the monitors at www.tyrepal.co.uk By Graham Hill
