I thought it would happen, just as I started giving positive reviews about cars that I like along came Land Rover with a rather dopey car. You would have seen the Defender that they have been building since cars were invented, those are the ones that you see army personnel thrashing about in, farmers rounding up sheep in and tribesmen tearing across the Serengeti in! You know what I mean. So to say the proposed new Defender convertible looks odd and out of place is a bloody understatement.

It looks like a beach buggy with temperament and the car on show is in yellow. Right! Maybe I’m just being old fashioned, when you see it you can let me know what you think? Nuff said! By Graham Hill
