Work Pressure Can Kill Employees

There has been a marked increase in the number of drivers talking on mobile phones whilst driving. The reason has been put down to increased work pressure by employers on employees who fear that missing critical calls or failing to call back customers could cost the company orders. The employees are doing it, even though they know it’s illegal, because they also need the commission. The sad fact is that talking on a phone without hands free is 4 times more likely to cause an accident, as pointed out by Professor Andrew Parkes, TRL chief scientist, who also feels that it is simply a matter of time before a driver, under pressure from his employer to take and make calls whilst driving, sues his employer following a serious accident.
