My car review of the week is a bit of a supercar. It’s Fiat but not just any Fiat it’s the Maserati Granturismo MC Stradale. It’s difficult to think that Maserati and Ferrari are both owned by Fiat but they are, in the case of Maserati since 1993. This beast of a car has a grill that looks like a shark’s mouth full of teeth ready to devour anything that gets Read more »

You know I like to search out great deals for my customers and boy have I found a real Bobby Dazzler for you!! How would you like a car which comes with a free servicing package? Not for just 3 years or even 5 years but 7 years. That’s right, a whole 7 years. Before you look for the Vauxhall style lifetime warranty catch, ie. restricted to 100,000 miles Read more »

One of the smaller changes to the benefit in kind tax rules following the budget was the removal of the upper limit when applied to company run prestige cars. In the past there was a limit placed on the list price used when calculating personal benefit in kind tax of £80,000. This has now been removed so taking a Bentley Flying Spur as an example with Read more »

As if by some weird coincidence Lloyds TSB have carried out a survey amongst drivers asking if money was no object what would be your dream car? And would you believe it Brits would plump for an Aston Martin! More motorists aspire to own one of these quintessential English cars that still conjure up times when we led the world with our beautifully designed executive cars. Obviously following the same Read more »

If you read my detailed review of the new Aston Martin city car you’ll know how dopey I found the whole idea of an Aston Martin badge on the front of a silly small car. So I was shocked to see Ferrari follow suit with their new Fiat 500 based 695 Tributo Ferrari. Surely there won’t be buyers willing to pay £30,000 for a Fiat 500 with a Ferrari badge on the front? Would there? The car will have 183 bhp giving a 0-62 Read more »

If you think you are having a bad day at work, consider the young mechanic working in a garage in New Malden. He had a Ferrari 612 Scaglietti in for an MOT after which he took it out for a road test. This lad in his early 20’s crashed the car into a lamp-post, flew over a 2 foot wall and landed in the middle of a roundabout. Severely shocked but otherwise unhurt the lad was heard to utter that his bosses would kill him. The value of the car? £218,000! Have a nice day. By Graham Hill

Now here’s a funny story! There has been a lot of  criticism over the way that companies encourage their staff to use their own car (known as the grey fleet) for business use. There are many health and safety implications but the criticism has been aimed at companies that don’t vet the vehicles that are being used and are taking a cavalier attitude towards the environment and the way that they are happy for their Read more »

Are you a big Ferrari fan? If so I’ve found the perfect holiday for you. It’s Abu Dhabi. They have built a theme park dedicated completely to Ferrari. They have a rollercoaster modelled on the F430 with the cars literally cornering on rails at speeds of up to 125 miles per hour. It will be called Ferrari World and is completely under cover in an area equivalent to 4 times London’s Wembley Arena. It will open in the autumn Read more »
