Warnings have been issued about the likely increase in the cost of fuel at the pumps. Tyres are on the move! Increasing in cost that is. The sudden jump in the cost of crude oil last year followed by the drop in value of sterling resulted in a continued increase in the cost of the raw materials that are used to manufacture tyres. Well just as we started to rejoice in the steady fall in oil prices and the price war that started last week between the oil companies and the supermarket chains we suddenly saw a massive increase in the price of crude oil of $25 a barrel on Monday.
